Moscow records the highest temperature in 134 years

A severe heatwave has hit the Russian capital, Moscow, recording the highest temperature in 134 years, according to the Russian Meteorological Center.

Temperatures in Moscow reached 32 degrees Celsius yesterday, Tuesday, surpassing the previous record set on July 2, 1890, when it reached 31.9 degrees Celsius.

All Russian cities are experiencing a significant rise in temperatures during the current month of July, sometimes reaching more than 35 degrees Celsius.

The Russian Meteorological Center has urged citizens to take several precautionary measures to reduce exposure to extreme heat, such as drinking enough water, wearing light clothing, and avoiding outdoor activities during the peak of the day.
